Step 1: Go to Appearance > Widgets.
Step 2: Drag and drop widgets from the left into the Footer Widget Area sidebar.
Step 3: If you wish, you can use a Footer Menu. Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus > Menu Locations > Footer Navigation to set up your footer menu.
